The Kinette Club of New Glasgow raises money through projects such as:

  • Wednesday night Bingo at Summer Street Industries
  • Assisting the Kinsmen Club of New Glasgow with their Thursday night TV Bingo
  • Windshield Wash at McDonald's for the IWK
  • Selling daisies for Cystic Fibrosis
  • MS Supercities Walk
  • Mother's Day Basket Draw
  • Jail Your Boss


The funds raised from projects such as those listed above enables us to make donations to our community, including, but not limited to:

  • Donation to the VON for the year 2004-2005;Donation to the Pioneer Trail for the year 2004-2005
  • Donation to the Trenton Trail for the year 2004-2005
  • Donations to Summer Street Industries;
  • Participating in our Christmas for Needy Families Project with the Kinsmen, in which we provided presents and groceries to 30 families in the Pictou County area this year;
  • Donations to youth attending the Terry Fox Centre;
  • Donations to the Bowl for Kids and Curl for Cancer events;
  • Donations to Tearmann House;
  • Donations to the Help Line.
  • Donations to Special Olympics;
  • Donations of books to the Cancer Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.


We also participate in service projects where we give of our time, including:

  • Participating in the Christmas Parade with the Kinsmen by collecting donations for the food bank along the parade route;
  • Preparing and serving a meal at the Good Shepherd's Lunchroom;
  • Holding a Senior's Barbeque in Trenton with the Kinsmen;
  • Hospitality Suite for the Blake Lumsden Memorial Judo Tournament;
Our National Service project is Cystic Fibrosis. Our District (Maritime Provinces) Service Projects are Multiple Sclerosis and the Children's Trust Fund.
